A small library in a bateye

Tuesday 7 September 2010

Why not ! All have a right on the planet to learn and specially the children. We have 187 kids in the bateye Lima. The Dominican Experience wants to set up a library in the bateye. We want them to have a place to go and get a book and read. This bateye doest have electricity - running drinking water. It is more than 1hr drive from the city of San Pedro de Macoris. Here are our photos for you to see how it is very primative. Thanks for helping us.

Thanks to St-Paul catholic high school of Ottawa for there donations of weel chairs. Here is proof .. how it does help.

The sugar cane way. where there is not electricity and where we have to buy the ice for there home.

Robert is learning how 2 tenagers are making working a full day in the sugar cane field.

Life is very difficult and incredible for handicape in the bateye. We would need the presence of Jean Vanier to understand how to help out.

The library would cost us approximatly 3,000.00 $ for the first year.
