Why? The desire to participate in a project.

The discovery of another culture, another way of life and a different mentality. Questions always arise after an experience like this. Despite the fact that the Dominican Experience is an incredible adventure, many aspects of it are rather shocking, even violent. Once we came back to Canada, we had an extremely hard time to stabilize ourselves, since we were once again confronted with a world that is self-centered. There is an extraordinary difference between the life of someone who searches and lives this experience and the life we find at our arrival. Volunteering and action, however, can use this experience towards the greater good by investing one’s time in a project like University Sponsorship. We have a duty after seeing and living all of this to encourage other young adults to experience the Dominican Republic as well as reflect, learn and become engaged with it.
