Our main principles insure a moral and strategy basis in all our actions.
Main values
Human dignity - Options for the poor
Dignity of the human being is our fundamental moral value. We reject the idea of the poor being considered as objects and we don’t pity them, but make them the subjects of their own development and give them a role in the change that happens. In this way, the Dominican experience shows to the whole world the love of God for creation.
The Dominican experience engages itself to fight poverty than takes humanity and dignity to individuals, and to promote the rights of the less fortunate to get a proper education. We engage ourselves to restore a feeling of responsibility in the building of a better world.
Solidarity
Option for the less fortunate
The Dominican experience tries to instill a true sense of solidarity to its members and in its relations with other world organization. It doesn’t act out of feelings of compassion, but of empathy, equaling putting yourself in the shoes of someone less fortunate.
Our leading principles
Church
The Dominican experience is a social activity of the Church and continues use all its efforts to promote the social mission of the Church and to help it give youth the place it deserves.
From the community to the global level
The Dominican experience listens to the voices of those who have no right of speech and talk for them, if there is need for, and, first of all, put them in a situation so that they can speak out.
Studies
We will put the accent on studies depending on everybody’s experiences and ideas, and put it in action with the "Rond-Point" group.
Development
We write down our helping and rescue activities in the university funding project in the frame of a humanitarian development program. This is part the promotion of human dignity.
Partnership
The Dominican experience tries to work on a base of partnership that should be the founding of all relations between organization members. The partnership implies a long term engagement with pre-determined goals, based on the sharing of values, strategies and information. The brothers of Christian schools and the Oblats are an outstanding encouragement.
Cooperation
The Dominican experience continues to develop tight-knit relations with the catholic organizations "The two parishes of San Pedro de Marcoris" in Dominican republic, Christian Brothers of La Salle, that share our vision.
Resources management
We manage in an efficient way the resources that are handed to us, aware of the fact that we are always obliged to be transparent and responsible face to poor, Church and others.
Capacity reinforcement
We are aware of the needs to reinforce the capacities of our organizations to bring on efficient programs and services in favor of the poor, or in the name of the poor. We have to reinforce our management and our administration on all levels. We have to use new technologies to put them to use in humanitarian services.
Testimony
We give a testimony of faith not only through our words but through our actions, the way that we act in the world. This testimony for the outside world implies openness, transparence and visibility. We will make the way we communicate outside and inside our organization to be representative of our values and principles.
